Around the windows

Blinds, shutters & railings

Perfect windows behind grey shutters: the contrast spoils everything. Slats, fabrics, housings and railings all need upkeep — and best done together with the windows, in a single visit.

Material by material

Each screen has its own care

Roller shutters are cleaned slat by slat, curtain lowered: dust brushed off, washed with a mild product, rinsing controlled so neither housing nor guides get flooded — and the guides cleared along the way, since a shutter that strains is often a shutter that is clogged. Louvres and hinged shutters follow, hinges included.

Awnings and fabrics are treated by textile: dedusting, gentle stain work, never high pressure that would strip the waterproofing. Indoor blinds — venetian, roller — are done in place, slat by slat when needed.

Railings and balcony guards complete the tour: glass, stainless steel or lacquered iron, each with its product, with particular care at the fixings where surface rust settles. It all pairs naturally with a window visit for a coherent facade.

FAQ

Blinds & shutters: practical questions

Yes, extended and dry: brushing, stain treatment with a suitable textile product, a light rinse in warm weather for quick drying. Dismantling is only worthwhile for a full re-covering at a blind specialist.
