The daily visit happens after class or during after-school care, depending on your organisation: tables and chairs wiped, floors swept then washed, boards cleaned, bins emptied. The washrooms — the sensitive point of any school — are disinfected and restocked every day.
Corridors, covered playgrounds and cloakrooms follow the same rhythm, because that is where the playground walks into the buildings. The staff room and administration are not forgotten.
School holidays open the season for deep work: floors stripped and protected, walls washed at child height, furniture refreshed piece by piece, windows done. At the start of term, the school starts from a sound base — and you can feel it from the corridor.
