Cleaning after a death at home

When a death occurs at home — sometimes discovered late — the family should not have to face the scene on top of the grief. We carry that burden, with the seriousness and modesty it demands.

What we take on

Decontamination, not just cleaning

A death discovered after several days leaves biological contamination that household bleach cannot treat: fluids soaked into floors and mattresses, settled odours, a real infection risk. The work is decontamination, with protective equipment, suitable biocides and protocol-driven gestures.

Saturated materials that cannot be made sound — bedding, affected coverings — are removed and disposed of through the regulated channels for infectious-risk waste, never with household rubbish. What can be saved is decontaminated and preserved.

The intervention ends with deep odour treatment and, if the family wishes, a full restoration of the home — so that on returning, only the memories one wants to keep remain.
